Klonec was born when Sandeep N Kondaji, after years of building ventures in the Middle East, returned to India and spent time working directly with farmers. He saw a glaring problem: soil testing was slow, inaccessible, and disconnected from decision-making.
“Farmers were making critical decisions with outdated or no soil data. We knew technology could change that — so we built the tools to do it.”
He partnered with Dr. Vishnuprasada Bhat, an engineer with a PhD in electronics and systems engineering, to turn the insight into hardware and software. Together they built automated soil analysis systems and national-scale digital platforms that today run for the Ministry of Agriculture, NCCD, and millions of farmers.
From agriculture, Klonec has expanded into energy management and cybersecurity — building automation and data platforms that deliver reliable service to the last mile, across sectors and geographies.
